Dress your personality
If you could sum up your style up in one word, what would it be?
Fun, Girly, edgy, rock, classic or minimalistic. There are so many labels that makes us sometimes get confused. Maybe having one style is enough for you, or maybe you crave a change. Well, that is what style evolution is for! To have a dress personality to express what our choices represent.
Even a year ago, I was convinced that I had my sense of style all figured out. Until I moved 12,258 km away from home. Now the in thing is to wear a pair of trainers with basically everything. A few years it was a no go and now the style just looks unbelievably cool! Your perspective can change even if you don't move, even if you stay right where you are and doing the same thing everyday. It's just a simple choice and doing my quiz of course!
Have a browse at the clothes you have in your closet? What are the main characteristics that you see? Bold colours or muted hues? Do you dress for comfort? Or is your motto "beauty is pain"? What do you naturally gravitate to and write that down.
It's as easy as deciding on how many sugars you want to drink in your coffee. Do not despair, you can still figure out your own dress personality if you haven't by now with this easy quiz! There are a few pointers to change your look if you desire!

Here are your results:
A Elegant: a Style that is not changed by fashion trends, but is everlasting and also easy to maintain. Subtle detail comes in the form of stripes, accessories, shoes and handbags. The purchasing of good quality products for an enduring wear. Think Audrey Hepburn in breakfast at Tiffany's. You can get stuck on buying one type of print like stripes. Combine prints like stripes and animal print to mix things up.
B Sexy: Self expression and sensuality is important to you. The attention that is received is very specific to the dresser, therefore the types of styles, material and accessories is utterly important for this dress personality. You can pair neutral and classic with sexy to mix things up a bit, like this picture below.
C Creative: Your closet is your way of showing the world who you really are. It's a mixture of the top trends, self expression and creative inhibitions all mixed in to one. You are not afraid of taking chances and to step out of the conformed way of dressing. You set and break trends. A true "Fasionista" at heart and a daredevil with a bankaccount to proove it.
D Dramatic: Bold colours, bold lines and attention to detail is what drives this personality. Dramatic dress type does not necessarily mean that this is a person with an extrovert personality. This type of expression can be very subtle in the form of a bold lipstick colour or bright shoes. You thrive to add who you really are to your wardrobe and you are no shy to show it. Attention to detail is important to you.
E Natural: Comfort and keeping things simple is important when dressing natural. Neutral colours are your go to with complimenting accessories. The type of style that is easy just to throw on for everyday wear. This look is great, but can be hard to add a sense of "bling" to it. You have to invest in a few classic items that is easily worn with Kitten heels, like a body hugging black dress. Don't hide away your beautiful figure behind the baggy clothes that you tend to gravitate to when you shop.
F Feminine: Flowers, flowy, frills...pastel colours, pearls, dresses and high heels are what you are drawn to. The perfect outfit that matches in every way. You make it fun to be a women, to play "dress up" is your daily routine. "Romantic" can fully describe this dress personality. You can find it hard to stay up to date with fashion trends, because you are very set on you own dress personality. Change this by adding ripped jeans to a flower top or a leather jacket.
G Classic: This kind of style is a no fail. You shop with intention and add necessary items to you wardrobe to ensure that you always look perfect. Wearing items till you have to replace them with a new similar version. Looking presentable and well put together is important. Fashion trends are added with cation, but you are not really fazed by them. Neutral, black and navy are the colours that you gravitate to. Putting together a work wardrobe is easy, but when it comes to a more casual look you tend to struggle. Add a pop of colour if you feel like you need a change, nothing makes a boring outfit stand out like a pair of red high heels!
How to collaborate the different Dress personalaties:
Personal expression is about knowing who you are and what you look good in, but there are a few women who haven't figured that bit out just yet. That is why there are more than one type of style that you can apply to your closet. Mix up your closet's colour palette, re-arrange and throw out the old and start afresh building outfits of what you have and then adding the items to your wardrobe.
Tone up or tone down your accessories. Add trends to build up your neutral and basic closet. Add femininity or bold lines to your silhouette. It's easy to redefine or create a new dress personality. Just take a chance! Try to fase out the old and start with the new. See what the reaction is and ask for an honest opinion from a close friend. It's never too late for a style evolution.
"The key to personal style is understanding your individual beauty enough to know which looks will work for you and which probably won't."
