So you don't know what the deal is with this whole Valentines day thing, or you're looking for a bit of inspiration? Have a peek at my super easy picks for the day of Love!

1. Pack a Picnic

Hearts shaped sandwiches with sundried tomatoes, mozzarella and Jambon.

Cut out your hearts shape in the center with a cookie cutter.

Place it in a folded paper plate for easy transfer, click here to know how!

Salad jar: Quinoa, salad, dried peaches, strawberries, cumin and honey roasted chickpeas, hummus, honey and lime dressing.

Hot chocolate with mini marshmallows, make your own label!

Place it all in a brown paper bag and you're ready for your picnic!

2. Bake heartshape Macaron pops

Make hearts shapes with a cookie cutter and pencil for easier piping.

Ingredients

1 cup almond meal

1 2/3 castor sugar

3 egg whites

Food coloring and decoration

Parchment paper

cake pop sticks

Method:

1. Mix together the almond meal and 1 1/2 cup of sugar and preheat the oven to 140°C.

2. Beat the egg whites in a seperate bowl with an electric mixer and gradually add the rest of the sugar to it until it becomes glossy and stiff.

3. Mix in the almond meal mixture for at least 30 turns until well combined, add the food coloring and scoop the mixture in to a piping bag.

4. Pipe the hearts shapes on to the parchment paper, decorate and then let it rest for 1 hour until a thin layer forms on the macaroons.

5. Let it bake for ten minutes till fully cooked, let it cool and then melt some chocolate for the filling.

6. Smear on the chocolate on both sides and place the stick on the inside and let it dry.

7. Place in a box or paper bag of your choosing!
